Palm Sunday Celebrate Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem. This service begins with a Palm Sunday drama performed by the children in the Narthex, followed by a lively procession around the lower park with drums & flags & then a dramatic reading of the Passion Gospel in church for the adults, with Palm Sunday activites for children in the Narthex.

Stations of the Cross. A devotional and reflective tradition in Holy Week. Using images, Holy Scripture, poetry and music we travel with Jesus on his final journey to the cross.

Passover Meal. An opportunity to take part in a Jewish Passover Meal and see how it has influenced our understanding of the Eucharist.  Held at St Thomas the Apostle. Joint Churches Together Event. Limited places (22), please sign up at the back of church.

Maundy Thursday. A powerful and moving service where we remember Jesus' last supper with his friends. This service includes optional foot washing. At the end of the service the church will remain open for a vigil in the side chapel until 10pm.

One Minute
in Lent

Daily Meditations for Easter

Stop what you are doing for one minute. Take a deep breath in and a breath out.

This year, we will continue a new series of meditations for Lent; short prayers and words of wisdom that you can read thoughtfully and carry through the rest of your day, a little more conscious of God's love and presence.

Missed One? Don’t worry - all the minutes will be available as a download for you to print or read on this website shortly

Ash Wednesday marks the start of Lent. As we move through this important period in the church calendar, there will be reflections and resources to take you to the celebration of Christ’s resurrection on Easter Sunday.

To prepare you for Lent, we will be running a five week Lent Course on Wednesday evenings. The course is called The Mystery of Everything  and is a new and original Lent course by Hilary Brand, which takes the multi-award winning film about Stephen Hawking, The Theory of Everything, as its starting point. It explores ways in which the mysteries of the universe and of everyday life - and the acceptance that we have more questions than answers - can reinvigorate our faith and spiritual journey.

Finally, take a look at What is Lent?, part of a set of resources that we will add to regularly as we move through Lent. We will update shortly a full list of dates for your diary below, as well as a separate list that you can download and print.
